Somewhat slow and always in the way, but I’m not making it easy to pass. Why would I? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re the competitive type, and like racing, the only real option that doesn’t feel like a video came when you’re active in it is iRacing. From setting up cars to mastering your driving techniques, you will learn every lap, every race, and every time you hit the track. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Admittedly, it isn’t cheap, but if you’re serious about competition, nothing is cheap. To experience the full effects of iRacing, one time purchases of tracks and cars will be where you end up. The ‘free’ cars and tracks are way under rated though. They make them free so that you can learn the basics of racing without the speed of mistakes catching you before you can react. It’s worth starting with the free pack first, then progressing through good performance through those and into the purchases of tracks and cars as you are ready for them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

iRacing is based on the 2003 release of Papyrus NASCAR2k3. It is considered a simulation, and not a game by those who are serious about their craft, and real life drivers also participate because of the benefits of iRacing’s accuracy and attention to detail. The tracks are laser scanned and you get every bump, every crack in the pavement, and every inch of the real life track they’re modeled after. The cars? Same. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You have the capability in iRacing to set the cars up for your driving style, and speed. The stock setups are intended to make it ‘easy’ for you to get on track and not suffer, but they’re so stable they’re just not competitive unless you’re running in a race that has fixed setups enabled, therefore equalizing the field setup wise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check out their website at https:\/\/www.iracing.com<\/a>. If you catch the site at the right time, you may find deep discounts for membership and content purchases. Every year they have a membership sale that is typically around half price. Take advantage and sign up for multiple years, if you can. It will feel like a bargain, trust me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, this post should show that HAM radio guys are extremely varied in their interests!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
