So I’ve been posting about Reticulum for a bit now, and this should be one of the last posts about it, in particular. I will post further about the programs we’ll use to utilize the Reticulum network stack and the uses we will get out of those particular programs.
There are two programs that are front runners for the uses we have utilizing Reticulum. Those two are, as the headline of this post indicates, Meshchat for PC’s and Sideband for the Android phones. There are no programs currently operable for iPhones, unfortunately.
This post is short and sweet.
You can find Meshchat at this link, and the Sideband APK at this link. With Meshchat, download the latest version by clicking on the folder with the latest version number, for your brand or kind of PC. There are MAC and Microsoft editions ready for the choosing. I will post further on how to install the APK for the Androids, and if you’ve never done an install on an Android phone from a direct APK, it should be helpful for you, and the method can be used for any install of software to an Android phone in a manner that avoids the use of Google Play or any other app store. Personally, I can’t stand that Google has their hands in most of the Android devices in use around the world, and almost every app installed on those devices. If for nothing else, learn to install without Google Play and you can stick your middle finger up to Google just as I love to do every time I install anything on an Android device. Anywho, be on the lookout for the post regarding the APK installation. It will be a little more involved so it may take me a day or so.
